The Yankee Candle Company, Inc., the country's leading designer, manufacturer, wholesaler and retailer of premium scented candles, announced the introduction this fall of more than a dozen new fragrances complemented by exciting new packaging and accessories.

The Country Kitchen line, Yankee Candle's original line of premium scented candles, is debuting in Yankee Candle retail stores this September with eight new scents and new packaging that features smooth wooden lids atop a clear glass jar labeled with a delicate botanical print. The new fragrances that join Banana Cream Pie, Maple Walnut and MacIntosh, fragrances already in stores, are:

* Coconut Cake -- creamy white
* Buttermilk Pancakes -- golden mocha
* Strawberry Rhubarb Pie -- deep red
* Gingersnaps -- dark brown
* Hot Apple Pie -- honey brown
* Orange Cupcake -- pale orange
* Apricot Preserves -- butterscotch orange
* Raspberry Mint Jelly -- emerald green

All fragrances are available in 14.5 oz. and 22 oz. jars. The Country Kitchen line's mouth-watering true scents are perfect for any kitchen -- gourmet or novice -- and an instant favorite for hostess gifts.

Housewarmer line additions for Yankee Candle retail and wholesale stores include:
* Mistletoe, an instant holiday favorite, is available now in 3.7 oz., 14.5 oz. and 22 oz. jars; wrapped and unwrapped Samplers votive candles; scented tea lights; and Tarts Wax Potpourri. Parlor candles and Ionic pillars in three sizes will be available only through December.
* Pumpkin Pie, perfect for fall and Thanksgiving, is available now in 3.7 oz., 14.5 oz. and 22 oz. jars; wrapped and unwrapped Samplers votive candles; scented tea lights; and Tarts Wax Potpourri.
* Cookies & Cream, rich and creamy, is available now in 3.7 oz., 14.5 oz. and 22 oz. jars; wrapped and unwrapped Samplers votive candles; scented tea lights; and Tarts Wax Potpourri.
* Rainbow's End, a light clean fragrance, is available now in 3.7 oz., 14.5 oz. and 22 oz. jars; wrapped and unwrapped Samplers votive candles; scented tea lights; and Tarts Wax Potpourri.
* Baby Powder, sold only in Yankee Candle retail stores, will be available in October in 3.7 oz., 14.5 oz., and 22. oz. jars and unwrapped Samplers votive candles.
* Yuletide Bayberry, sold only in wholesale customer gift stores, is only available through November in 3.7 oz., 14.5 oz. and 22 oz. jars; wrapped and unwrapped Samplers votive candles; scented tea lights; and Tarts Wax Potpourri.

In mid-October, three new Special Edition holiday candles joined four favorites in Yankee Candle retail stores and will be available throughout the holiday season:
* Starry Night, Icicles, and Poinsettia will join Nutcracker, Peace on Earth, Holiday Spirit and Christmas Wish to give consumers a full complement of fabulous fragrances and packaging to go with any holiday decor.

The Country Classics Line, featuring artwork by Warren Kimble, is introducing charming crocks in two sizes and four fragrances. Each cream-colored crock with matching lid features an image by Mr. Kimble coupled with Yankee Candle fragrancing:
* After the Rain, with Noah's ark
* Buttercream, with the artist's signature cow
* MacIntosh, featuring an old-fashioned one-room schoolhouse
* Storm Watch, with a New England lighthouse and sailboat

In addition, the Company is introducing hand painted porcelain shades that complement the Country Classics label art. One shade is Nautical, with Americana scenes, and the other displays a Barnyard theme featuring Mr. Kimble's cat, cow, rooster and bunny.

A new fragrance in the retail Country Classics line, Buttermilk Pancakes, debuted in mid-September with a charming pig label by Mr. Kimble.

Yankee Candle wholesale customer gift stores may offer an exclusive holiday fragrance and packaging that is sure to charm every adult on your list: Sleigh Ride in a fresh-cut evergreen fragrance in cheery red to match the old-fashioned image of Santa in a sleigh by Warren Kimble. This special candle is available only in a 22 oz. jar beginning in mid- October.

Wholesale customer gift stores may also carry exclusive Yankee Candle accessories in three patterns, including Sugared Plums, Rose Hip & Vine and Apple Cider. Accessories are available in shades, plates, votive holders, tea light holders, and wax potpourri burners.

Retail store customers will have a dizzying array of candle and decorating accessories to choose from for the holidays made exclusively for Yankee Candle. Most Yankee Candle accessory lines include plates, shades, crocks, tea light holders, votive holders, and wax potpourri burners. Many also have coordinating ornaments. This year a Yankee Candle Woodland Santa ornament in limited edition will be offered in retail stores.

Accessory patterns will range from a winsome, glazed ceramic Jack Frost family in pastels with custom jar topper; Snow Angels in snowy pale grays and silver tones; the natural look of Balsam Fir; a playful Mittens motif, Homespun Holidays with old-fashioned quilt and sewing motif; Gingerbread, a charming play on a holiday goodie; and Winter Birds to bring nature inside on winter days. Retail stores will also carry Sugared Plums accessories.
