Make-Up Artist Magazine’s 3rd Annual Trade Show

An event that is quickly becoming a "must-attend" in the make-up industry is the annual International Make-Up Artist Trade Show hosted by Make-Up Artist Magazine. It has become a forum for both established and fledgling make-up artists and make-up enthusiasts from all over the world, and from all areas of the make-up industry. The two-day event includes product demonstrations, seminars, character and avant-garde makeup contests, a movie makeup memorabilia museum and will be attended by famous beauty, TV, theatrical and movie makeup artists.
Several well-known beauty companies will have booths displaying their products for sale. Some vendors from last year's trade show include: Japonesque, Ben Nye, Joe Blasco, Max Factor, Kryolan, Taut Cosmetics, Visiora, Cinema Secrets, Senna Cosmetics, Brushes by Karen, Reel Creations, Graftobian, World Girl, Mehron, Naime's Film & TV Supply, Frends Beauty Supply, Image Exclusives, and Michael Davy Film & TV Make-up.
Make-Up schools who had informational displays last year included Cinema Make-Up School, Westmore Academy, Make-Up Designory, and Studio Make-Up Academy.
The seminar will be held July 24 & 25 1999 at the Pasadena Convention Center (Pasadena, California USA). Admission is $30/day or $50 for both if you call to pre-order tickets at (818) 504-6770. If you buy tickets at the door, it is $35/day or $60 for both days.

If you can't attend the trade show, they sell a tape each year, which features highlights from the show, including short segments from the key seminars. You can currently order the 1997 and 1998 tapes from the website; the 1999 tape will be available a few months after the show.
