Hello and welcome to Beauty Buzz! Beauty Buzz was founded by four women who found each other through various cosmetic related websites. Two of the original four founders have since left the site for their own personal reasons, however, Maria Cokel. and Melissa Kinder still maintain the site and have added many wonderful Panelists and Correspondents to the site. Beauty Buzz was founded in August 1997 and first debuted in October 1997. The founders wanted a site that was focused on beauty, fashion and fitness for the average consumer, by the average consumer.

Says Maria Cokel, "I always thought I was the only one out there with shoeboxes full of makeup. Makeup that I used and mixed to get certain colors, etc. When I met Melissa, I realized that there are LOTS of people like that. We're all looking for beautiful color and texture in makeup and clothing. And finding people who give you honest opinions on products because they used them is what we wanted. I don't know how many times I would ask Melissa if she had tried a product and asked what she thought. We knew if we were like that, that there were plenty of other people who were also."

And so on that idea, Beauty Buzz was formed. The Reviews Section has product reviews by the Panelists on products they have used and tried. They are the honest opinions of products from each individual Panelist. What works for one Panelist may not work for another. Hopefully the readers can find a Panelist they can identify with and help them make informed purchases.

Not only did the founders want to focus on beauty, fashion and fitness, they also wanted to bring issues near and dear to their hearts out to the public. Many of the Panelists have listed their special interest(s) in the Social Causes section. They have included their own feelings and thoughts on their cause(s) along with links to various informative sites. As Melissa has said "I think that talking about our 'social causes' is a way to show that caring is part of what makes us beautiful"

They also wanted a forum where people could make friends and share their life experiences with others. The Messageboard is the perfect arena for such exchange. It has become the 'heart and soul' of Beauty Buzz and it's readers. Many people partake in the exchange of information and ideas daily. The Messageboard has become a very vital and popular part of Beauty Buzz.

Many sections have been added to Beauty Buzz as the site grows and expands. Hopefully there is information throughout the entire site that readers will find helpful and useful. Whether it's the Makeup Artiste Section that features new color and product launches; the Interview Section which features interviews of Makeup Artists and various other professionals in the beauty, fashion and fitness industry; the Fitness Forum includes new product information along with video and fitness reviews; the Scent Of It All specializes in fragrances and fragrance items with information such as new product information and specifics on scents; or the Hair section which includes new product information, reviews and tips and trends for hair styles.

The Panelists each participate in all sections of Beauty Buzz and have included their more personal information in this section.
